Your tasks

In this role, you are a safe and stable presence in the user's daily life. You work closely with a person who sometimes finds themselves in an emotionally challenging situation, where your ability to be calm, consistent, and attentive is central.

You support the user in daily life, and you see every situation – even the more difficult ones – as an opportunity to understand behaviors, create security, and find ways forward together. You have a genuine desire to contribute to development, stability, and good quality of life.

Your work includes, among other things:

• providing individually tailored support based on the user's needs, abilities, and current state
• working structured based on low-affect approach and clear pedagogical methods
• contributing to predictability, security, and a calm environment
• documenting according to current routines
• collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals
• contributing to reflection and dialogue in the workgroup

You are a secure point even when emotions fluctuate, and you meet the user with respect and patience. You understand that high function in certain areas does not always mean full independence, and you adjust your approach accordingly. When behaviors aim to test or seek boundaries, you meet it with professionalism, clarity, and calm.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and on-call with long shifts, for as high predictability as possible for the user.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• education from the care program (nurse assistant/child and leisure with social and pedagogical orientation) at the high school level
• education with a focus on disabilities
• good communication skills and good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• experience with documentation and basic computer skills

It is meritorious if you have knowledge in:

• Working with children and young people with special needs
• behaviors that can be perceived as challenging
• clear pedagogical methods according to TEACCH
• low-affect approach
• cognitive support
• health and wellness
